The DJ Producer has come up with an old school Hip Hop mix, which both serves as homage to the iconic record store, Groove Records in London (THE place in where, you could find those hard to get US imports of the time) and legendary Capital Radio presenter Mike Allen. Besides of paying respect to also displays the very roots of a young Hip Hop head.

In Producer’s own words. “A mix i always wanted to do and never had the time. The absolute roots of how i was formed as a music fan & wannabee Dj. For anyone in the South of england who was into Early Rap & Hip Hop in the mid 80’s, Mike Allen was our guiding light, and the main source was the mighty Groove Records, 52 Greek St., London W1 – the place that literally had everything –before everyone. US Imports you would have trouble finding anywhere else. Mike Allens Frontline Chart was based on sales from here, shows religiously recorded & lists made of the most dangerous cuts availabe at the time……..The tracks that gave me my identity way before Acid & house…….Many of these tracks sampled 10 years later in some of mine & Hellfish’s Deathchants. ……The absolute roots of “Our” version of hardcore”

Cop the mix below and nod your head to some serious 80’s jams.
