The first Haven Festival landed in Refshaleøen, Copenhagen last Friday and Saturday following much anticipation. As a crafted love child of Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner (The National), Claus Meyer and Mikkel Borg Bjergsø (Mikkeller), the festival brought together Denmark’s, and some of the world’s leading eating, beer, and art. Not to mention an eclectic and appropriate mix of outstanding musical acts, making it hard for us to actually determine any real headlining performers.

Day one graced us with indie sweethearts Band of Horses, punk/pop-rock legend Iggy Pop, dream-scape Beach House, and a heavy DJ set from SBTRKT to finish. to name only a few. Believe it or not, day two featured an even more luscious line-up. As expected, Perfume Genius, possibly one of my favourite live-performers dazzled crowds with an energy not seen since David Bowie (RIP). Feist, Bon Iver, The National, and Liss also joined the party and delivered beautiful and emotional sets to a suitably damp audience. Who could ask for more?

Emil Møller was there too, fortunately, because he snapped some good pics of you guys enjoying it all. Check em out!
