From 70′s roots-reggae, through dub, some years of obscurity, to hooking up with Massive Attack, from the opening salvo of “Blue Lines” to the most recent “Heligoland”, Andy has contributed on all ‘Massive’ albums, most notably with “Skylarking”, or maybe “Angel”, no hang on, defo “Spying Glass”, hmmm more difficult than I thought.
SPECKTORS – DU VED DET! Enjoy!
Video artist & director Chris Cunningham’s big break was being head hunted by Stanley Kubrick, which must have been the dopest ever phone call, ever, anywhere……
Cunningham has gone on to make some of the most interesting video work of our times.
We’ve been keeping tabs on ENVY ever since her ’07 Tongue Twister Promo. Set you on Fire & Normal kept the bar high, and now her latest offering ‘Nadine’ is another large step in the ‘this kid is gonna be huge’ direction. Out 15th March, check it…
If you don’t live in the UK but still like watching BBC stuff that isn’t the usual BBC Entertainment channel…., then Bitchslap magazine would definitely not advocate that you work out how to hide your IP address online and then log onto BBC iPlayer to watch some of the best documentaries about music you’ll find in the whole wide world.
One of the upcoming programmes of interest is a look at Reggae’s past in the BBC’s … Britannia series……. check ‘em out, or defiantly don’t, our legal team would like to add.
Any rudeboy who can rock a purple suit like this dude, deserves our respect.
Goodness, what a weekend. Bitchslap was invited by Burn Energy down to Innsbruck for the Air and Style – something I haven’t checked out since ’98 when fluoro was only in for the 2nd time, and switch back 5′s made the crowd go bananas. I guess a lot has changed.

Yelle’s “Safari Disco Club” is prettymuch what you´d expect from the europoppin’ princess, but a little more reserved and complex than her previous stuffs.
Meanwhile in the run up to Lykke Li’s new album the first single “Get Some” has been doing the rounds for a moment, and was a slight departure from her usual steez, but the second single “I Follow Rivers” is right on the money, and sure to make it onto at least 1000 jilted lover mixtapes.
My youngster friend Jacob once told me that him and his mates always hung around getting high and rhyming all weekend, which I thought sounded like a pretty good way to waste time. Turns out, their time wasn’t wasted – they release their debut LP this friday and Underwood Ink. Good on you boys! Continue Reading →
Here’s the amazing beatbox wonder nerd Daito Manabe at it again – this time with a gazillion electrodes hooked up to the nerves in his face that twitch when he gets mini electric shocks through his body. Geez the kids are crazy these days.
As you may now, Quadron played at Vega this Saturday. The concert featured fruit and dreaminess.

This could’ve been a picture of me, wasted away trying to forget all my sorrows.. or at least, resting my wrist from that god damn heavy camera. My weekend was busybusy. Pretty-please enjoy the show!
The Eastpak Antidote Tour is hitting Copenhagen the 21st Of November.
Punk rock is good for the soul.
Bags are generally good for carrying stuff.
Århus took some of my money, a bit of my hearing ability and a couple of braincells. It was terrific though.
