Designer, artist and Vans advocate Chris Kong puts his schooled touch on this pair of Vans Alomar from the OTW collection to be released in November. Drawing inspiration from 80′s skate and BMX culture these mids feature bold colouring as was the rage back then with faded checkerboard midsoles – a throwback to his first pair of checkered Vans. The tongue sports a reflective patch and there’s a great big lightning bolt on the side if you were in any doubt about Kong’s playful nature; his two brands Garageworks Industries and Made by Monsters are some of the most well known modern toy producers worldwide.
