TUNNG TICKET GIVEAWAY

all-aboard

The first and only time I saw Tunng was last time they played at Vega a couple of years back. It was either a Sunday or Monday show from which I expected nothing more than a standard SundayMonday show. Tunng proceeded to humbly rattle my insides and touch me in dark places I tell no-one about. I was in love. The show was so good that I even went on myspace and wrote a fan letter. And I’m over 16. I’m very very very excited that they’re making the dash – ash permitting – over the straight and blessing us with their presence once again and thanks to VME we’ve got a few extra tickets you can get.

IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS TEXT YOU’RE PRETTY MUCH HALF WAY TO SOME FREE TICKETS FOR THE GIG THIS SUNDAY

Below is a press release (Danish) that I can’t be bothered to translate, and google will more than likely fuck it up but it covers the fact that Tunng have just released an album (yes I’m lying, the press release is a few weeks old) but either way, I have it (Thanks Allan) and it’s a wondrous journey bla bla bla GO TO THIS SHOW!! Tunng is a crazy mix of acoustic melodies, electronic-folk and random instrument sounds including kids toys, bits and pieces found on the beach and a real live laptop or 2.

To make it easier for you we’ll give away 3 double passes for this Sunday’s show in Lille Vega.

To win one of these double passes all you have to do is post a comment below quoting your favourite Tunng lyrics. Actually, since that’s not at all very friendly for virgin listeners I’m gonna change it. Just post a comment explaining why (keep it short moron) you should win these tickets. Any mention of volcano’s are automatically disqualified.

Here’s an example:
Bob: ” I should win those tickets because I’m stuck in a bla bla ash bla volcano bla bla death to Iceland”
Bitchslap: “Unfortunately you are disqualified”

Mary: “I should win because I’m a princess and even though we get lots of things for free we’re never allowed to win anything”
Bitchslap: “Ok Mary – you win!”

Here’s a couple of my favourites to whet your appetite.

I have to work both friday and saturday night. So being able to go and see Tunng on sunday with my girlfriend would mean I actually have a weekend to look forward to. And to give a quote to support my explanation:

And in the evening we’ll turn off t.v.
And watch the stars (read: Tunng)
And crack open a can or two
And it’s all fine if we are by our side

I like music and weird stuff. I like you! I like slapbitch and hangover concerts on sundays are better than asprin and “red eyes”. Oh, and I didn’t get to go to Norway to the DM! Not related but, yes, I am a bit jealous.
    PS
Bill Cosby still reminds me of J-ELLO and Chicago.

Tunng was and is an great inspiration to me. And it would mean a lot to go and see them tonight.
If I win I wanna surprise my boyfriend with the tickets and take him with me to the concert.
It will be a night to remember.
