Happy Socks have collaborated with designer Stephen Wong, head of NY design collective Wong Wong and former long time Art Director of Helmut Lang Studios, designing a special collection of socks. With inspiration from the world of football, the collection pays homage to the rich football history of eight nations from across the globe. Recognizable the world over by their colours, flags, and kits as well as their respected history in the world of football, the eight countries represented are Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, South Africa. Released on the 21st of May, the socks will be available all over the world just in time for the World Cup 2010.

Danish label Wood Wood also celebrates the upcoming soccer worldcup and has released a series of t-shirts representing several countries, including Argentina, France, Germany, Algeria, England and of course South Africa. The t-shirts are now available in their online store.

Real men don’t wear colourful, customised socks.
I disagree. Sport jocks and business fuckers take black goldtops way too seriously. I wear coloured socks and last time I looked I had a penis. Customised? Yea that’s perhaps taking it a little far, but seriously – check the kicks and you’ll see the man.
