Yesterday was awesome: Bluebird and slushy. I spent the afternoon trying to keep up with Michael Damgaard and his Greenlandic entourage of über baggy pant, supertall tee, monster poppers, and Cap P. They all destroyed the big park, forcing me to step my own game up and it almost ended up being like the old days – when I could snowboard. The decision to get utterly wasted was quickly made when we got back to the pad to bask in the last hour or 2 of blazing sun.
Norway is ridiculously expensive, and Hemsedal is off the chart. You should at least have a job to go back to before you come here. Beer prices are insane so we thought why not drink everything we’ve bought with us and leave nothing for the rest of the week? Good plan. It’s mostly pretty blurry and today was a total right off from the get go. I fell and smacked my head on my first run doing a whirly bird wheelie thingy and from then on, anytime I was in the air was not any fun at all.
DM held the annual Bataleon high five contest where you have to jump and either bonk the hand set up or give it high five. Heaps of dudes ruled it and Rasmus Greenland took home the board and champagne. Check the next blog post for real pics from our photographer roomie Anders from Aalborg.
