Five minutes after I went out and dumped all my savings on the wonderful GF1, news drops that Panasonic are ready to release the GF2
SLR is so last year.
The GF2 is dropping internationally in January. You’d be silly not to get one.
The main difference being a 19% saving on size, the introduction of the new 14mm fixed lens and 3D (who needs that?) lens system and a boost in the quality of HD filming – which is already pretty bloody good.

I’ve been stoked on my GF1 since day one and the only thing I’m missing is a built in view finder so I don’t look like a kook using the LCD all the time. The camera is a sturdy little bastard that makes you want to take it to your face when shooting, it’s that simple. To further prop this out, 4 or 5 of my friends, some photographers, some not, have been out and bought this on my recommendation, it’s so fucking lovely. The 14-45 doesn’t do too well in low light and I tend to find that I use the 20mm all the time, for everything anyway, so that’d be my advice if you’re buying.
Here’s a couple of pics I nabbed with it when I first got it, and the link below is a film I shot on it. Damn you Panasonic! I want that 14mm! These aren’t photoshopped or anything, just dropped in here from the camera.
