So here’s the first few photos of getting to and starting up the chronicles of this Amsterdam adventure. I didn’t get to many, but I’ll try to be more active with the camera the next couple of days. The travel down there took about 13 hours and 7 changes of trains. Who says it’s not easy traveling due to the infamous ashcloud? I got every weather – from snow to rain to plain cloudy to nice and sunny.

Saw and crossed the craziest trainbridge i think I’ve ever seen and other good feats through Germany going into the Netherlands. It was good to have the brandnew Will I go to hell for this book to keep the spirit up. I ended up having a beer in the foodwagon going into A’dam at around 12 at night. I was beat, so straight to bed.

Wake up early with a view to the closed airport and decided it was time to hit the city and met up with one of the gallery owners, Jeroen, at Your:Own gallery in the center of Amsterdam.

The day was spent shopping for old frames and later Joe the other owner came by and we sat around watching Joost, the artist who just exhibited, took pictures and dismounted his works. Good stuff, check his site here! Later Carolina Echeverri from Epitaph came by for a chat and a look at the new work. Good times and she recommended a traditional mexican restaurant, so I was psyched. It haven’t been possible for me to find decent real mexican food in Copenhagen yet, so Jeroen and I headed out and had a late dinner.

It was great, thanks Carolina. I was ready to hit the sack, so I found my new hotel (same as the first one, just in the city instead of the airport). This is exactly what you wanna see when you’re smashed. A lot of work is to be done the next couple of days, more to come…
