HEMSEDAL PART 3

P1000728

Yip. We’re still here. It’s still sunny and yip, the snow is still soft. Beats a day job. Actually it beats pretty much anything.

Today was the Burton rail jam down the 13 stair triple set up consisting of a box, a double barrelled rail and a triple(?) barrelled flat down rail. Most impressive were once again the Greenland gangsters dropping mixed bags of rail wizardry always with a tap and 180 out. Those cats have amazing control that I haven’t seen in a long time. Maria (pictured above), our roomie from Esbjerg (and Whistler) absolutely killed everything she touched. We’re talking backside 180 into switch fifty 180 out, frontboards down the double and more – which when I asked her what the hell it was, she came and tried to demonstrate wearing half a ‘going to town’ outfit and a towel, which promptly fell off when she spun. The best thing about Maria is that she doesn’t know the name of the tricks she does – or who Terje Haakonsen is.

16 year old Simon Houlind (pictured above), eats everything he rides for breakfast. Everyone here is in awe of this kid; his balls are steel, his steez are tight and if he’s not on your tv in the next few years then there’s something wrong.

Again, here’s a gallery from the last 24 hours.

Say what?
