SKATEBOARDING.3D PHOTO TOUR

18 February 2010 149 views One Comment

For about three years Sebastian Denz has been travelling through Europe with members of the carhartt skateboard team to shoot a series of 3D photographs in a quality never seen before.

Sebastian Denz is a photographer from Germany who has gained international acclaim for his work and special approach to “space” as a human system of reference and its depiction in three-dimensional processes. For the project SKATEBOARDING.3D Sebastian, accompanied by the Carhartt skateboard team, travelled throughout Europe for three years. During that time he took an amazing series of 3D photographs with a unique 8 × 10 inch large-format-stereo-camera, developed by himself and custom-built camera specialist Dr. Kurt Gilde. The result of this journey is a deluxe 120-page photo book featuring a linen hardcover with an embossed title that comes in a beautiful slipcase with a linen finish on top and bottom.

Now a SKATEBOARDING.3D limited edition box set, strictly limited to 25 pieces, compliments the already outstanding book. The handmade box is manufactured in linen, has an embossed logo and carries a hand-signed and numbered SKATEBOARDING.3D book by Sebastian Denz as well as a board exclusively designed by artist Stefan Marx. The box set is available only at selected Carhartt Stores during the SKATEBOARDING.3D European exhibition
tour. In addition to the board you’ll find a special edition postcard set and 3D glasses – working with both, the cards and the board, since its design comes in 3D, too! The tour is coming to Copenhagen’s Elmegade store on the 22 June and rolling until the 16 July.
